OTAMA

Capital · Fund

A family office. A lineage. A standard of stewardship for the capital that follows us.

A date that holds three lives.

OTAMA is a Māori word for that which binds family — the lineage we come from, the legacy we build, and the quiet discipline that carries us forward. It is the word we chose because it is the truest description of what this fund stands for.

Two decades at the top of professional triathlon and Ironman — widely regarded as the most demanding test of endurance, perseverance and discipline in sport — laid the foundation. Fifteen years of investing and building businesses across global markets has carried that same approach forward. The principles that shaped success in one arena shape it in the other: lineage, conviction, patience, and the long view.

Otama Capital exists to apply that approach to capital — building, compounding, and protecting wealth across generations.

We invest the way families ought to.

OTAMA does not chase quarters. It does not optimize for benchmarks designed for someone else's capital. It invests with the patience and conviction of a family that intends to still be here in fifty years.

Institutional access. Direct conviction.

OTAMA's strategy operates on two channels. Through Hawksburn, we hold institutional access to top-decile private equity and venture managers globally. Alongside, we hold a smaller portfolio of direct investments selected by the principal — operators we know, businesses we understand, and stories we want to be part of.
