— Founder & Principal, OTAMA Capital Fund

An operator, investor, and the principal behind OTAMA.

Why I started OTAMA.

OTAMA exists for a simple reason. After two decades of building, operating, and investing — the work of compounding — I wanted a structure that matched the seriousness of what is being compounded. Family capital is not the same thing as capital. It carries with it memory, obligation, and the names of people no longer here. It deserves an institution that treats it accordingly.

The fund is also a discipline. By giving the family’s capital its own name, its own philosophy, and its own standard, I commit to investing it with the patience that one’s own children deserve. OTAMA is, in this sense, an act of forward stewardship. The capital is family. The horizon is generational. The intent is durability.

If you have read this far, you understand the fund well enough.
